Trump’s moves in Ukraine and Syria have a common denominator: Both help Russia

Whether by chance or by design, the foreign policy crises involving Syria and Ukraine that have enveloped the White House have a common element. In each case, President Trump has taken action that has had the effect of helping the authoritarian leader of Russia.

Russia announced Tuesday that its military is patrolling near the northern Syrian town of Manbij, moving to fill a security vacuum after Trump pulled U.S. troops from the area.

We leave our enemies move in....hey Spitbubble, do you understand that?

Russian forces are now operating between the Turkish and Syrian militaries, helping to fulfill Moscow’s main aim of shoring up its alliance with Syria and the Russian military port housed there — an outcome Russian President Vladimir Putin has sought for years.

Hey Spitbubble, do you understand that...also do you understand that our allies are getting slaughtered because of Trump's incompetence?

And without lifting a finger, Putin was able to extend leverage over Ukraine, the fragile democratic neighbor he would like to control more directly, as a result of Trump’s treatment of the country’s popular new leader.

How wonderful!!! WINNING!!! MAGA!!!

Trump’s actions in Syria and Ukraine add to the list of policy moves and public statements that have boosted Russia during his presidency, whether that was their central purpose or not, confounding critics who have warned that he has taken too soft a stance toward a nation led by a strongman hostile to the United States.

but...but...but...Trump's been so hard on Russia!!!

Well, factually, Trump has been pretty hard on Russia. That's actually indisputable.

So, having Russia pay for a bunch of stuff they can't afford and die for other countries helps them....how?

Trump's moves in Ukraine and Syria have a common denominator: they are two more items added to the list of things that help feed the OP's #TDS.

Everything triggers it's TDS.

If we only could start a convincing and excelerated campaign telling them "Trump endorsed oxygen and oxygen is racist!"

So do tell.. why are we there, and why did we get involved in Syria in the first place?? Like Libya we went in and sided with a terrorist group(s) to overthrow a government, trying to instill a regime change in a region we had no business being in

We've funded terrorists to overthrow other regimes, that have returned the favor by attacking us and killing several Americans (to include an ambassador) so since 2011 we've sided with other Muslim Terrorists and even provided US soldiers to aid them in overthrowing another regime.

SO please, be specific, why should we have been there in the first place.

Up. Identified. Lase. Fire. On the way.
Whether one agrees or disagrees (I am of both minds) this is an excellent thought piece:

The closing paragraphs:
President Trump, who has been accused of trying to kill NATO (but has, in fact, made it stronger since assuming office), is apparently trying to save NATO by salvaging U.S.–Turkish relations. In the past several days, the Trump administration authorized the withdrawal of U.S. forces in Syria, thereby ensuring that Turkey would be able to march into Syria and slaughter their Kurdish foes. Thankfully, the Syrian Kurds managed to get Bashar al-Assad to deploy forces to protect them from the Turkish onslaught. Of course, Trump’s actions indicated to Turkey that the United States would respect Turkish security concerns about the Kurds.

In response to the heavy-handed Turkish incursion into northern Syria, though, the Trump administration has imposed onerous sanctions on America’s NATO ally, Turkey. Also, it is being prevented from gaining access to America’s F-35 fighter jet, further eroding NATO’s collective defenses. Meanwhile, the Turkish Navy has sent 20 warships (and some submarines) to encircle Cyprus, invoking the ire of both fellow NATO partner Greece (Turkey’s historic regional rival), and that of Egypt, another U.S. partner. Things have gotten so bad for the NATO alliance regarding Turkey that Washington had to plot how to covertly evacuate the 50 nuclear weapons it has maintained there since the Cold War.

None of this would have happened had Obama minded the store in Europe for his eight years in office.

Face it: Obama broke NATO. Trump is trying — vainly — to fix it. And Turkey is just putting NATO out of its misery by exposing the sham that it is.
