U.S. may soon deport migrants to Libya on military flight, sources say

WASHINGTON, - The United States may deport migrants to Libya for the first time this week, three U.S. officials said on Tuesday, despite Washington's past condemnation of its human rights practices and harsh treatment of detainees.

Two of the officials said the U.S. military could fly the migrants to the North African country as soon as Wednesday, but stressed that plans could still change.

The Pentagon referred queries to the White House. The White House, State Department and Department of Homeland Security did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Reuters could not determine how many migrants would be sent to Libya or the nationalities of the individuals that U.S. President Donald Trump's administration is eyeing for deportation.

“Norah O’Donnell, why is your husband hiring illegal aliens? Is this why you have been so hostile to Trump? Because your family profits off exploiting illegal alien labor?”

This tweet stems from an Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid at Chef Geoff Tracy's restaurant in Washington, DC. ICE raided Tracy’s establishment on Tuesday, where federal agents demanded proof of work authorization from the workforce (via Washington Free Beacon):

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents on Tuesday audited an upscale Washington, D.C., restaurant owned by the husband of CBS News journalist Norah O’Donnell, as the Trump administration works to remove illegal immigrants from the food industry.
"Restaurants in the DC, including Chef Geoff's in Northwest and Millie's in Spring Valley[,] were subject to I-9 audits by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, today, per ICE official and DHS official," CBS News's Nicole Sganga reported on X. "Restaurants were delivered 'notices of inspection' and asked to question employees about their work authorization."
[…]
The audit comes as federal agents are conducting operations in Washington, D.C., to catch illegal immigrants working in the restaurant and gig economy sectors, according to the Substack "Migrant Insider." President Donald Trump has in recent weeks signed executive orders ramping up immigration enforcement in Washington, D.C., and other sanctuary jurisdictions nationwide.

It's sad, it's a dirty job, but it would not be necessary if the Democrats had not opened the border to illegals.

And there you have it. Like all the college grads in a jam because they stopped paying on their student loans - Biden did that by lying to them, don't blame Trump.

I'm afraid I would have to let this one go.
I do not know why she has never tried to get naturalized or the particulars, but this poor woman would be as lost as a zoo raised Bengal Tiger turned loose in the jungle.

She's the definition of a dreamer. I agree with Jinx. Small fish. Give her a date to appear notice, cut her loose, and keep tabs on her.

She worked in La Jolla, was driving home, and "accidently" tried to board MCRD.

Now, La Jolla isn't all that far from MCRD. However, the area surrounding is pretty desirable and pretty damn pricey.

How much? Try $6,000.00 a month for a <700 sq. ft., 1 bed/1 bath apartment.

Also, MCRD has 3 access points. I've driven in that area multiple times over the years (decades), and while I've never been aboard MCRD, I've never made a mistake and accidentally tried to access the station. Not when I was stationed at what is now Liberty Station (formerly Naval Training Center), not when I worked at Convair on Pacific Hwy. not when I've flown in and out of SAN numerous times during that time. Unless you're drunk out of your mind, there's no way you live in that area and can mistake MCRD for anything but a place you're not allowed to be without express business.

There's something rotten in Mexico.

ICE Descends on Houston, Nabs Hundreds of Illegal Aliens Including Sexual Predators, Convicted Murderer

Their latest operating theater: Houston, Texas, where they’ve nabbed over 400 “undocumented people”—many with extensive and disturbing criminal records. These are the kinds of folks Democrats keep going to bat for—not law-abiding Americans.

During the operation, ICE officers targeted some of the most dangerous criminals, including an illegal migrant wanted in Colombia on murder charges.
Fox News exclusively embedded with officers for 10 hours as ICE officers arrested an illegal alien they say is wanted for murder in Colombia, at his apartment complex.
"He has a homicide conviction in Colombia and was sentenced to 21 years there," ICE Houston Director Bret Bradford said. "He entered the United States illegally in February of 2024 was given a court date for an immigration hearing and released. He did not show up for that court date, so in March of this year, he was ordered removed by an immigration judge here in the United States.

Expect progressives to start immediately whining about how these are just regular working “Texas mothers and fathers” who are just working toward a better life. At least some of them certainly don’t seem to fit that bill:

Winning Bigly: Tariff Receipts Top $16 Billion in April

No, we're still not tired of winning yet. The numbers are in, and we learned on Monday that April's income from customs duties - mostly tariffs - is breaking records, topping $16 billion. That is, as someone once said, a big freaking deal.

Receipts from U.S. tariffs hit a record level in April as revenue from President Donald Trump’s trade war started kicking in.
Customs duties totaled $16.3 billion for the month, some 86% above the $8.75 billion collected during March and more than double the $7.1 billion a year ago, the Treasury Department reported Monday.
That brought the year-to-date total for the duties up to $63.3 billion and more than 18% ahead of the same period in 2024. Trump instituted 10% across-the-board tariffs on U.S. imports starting April 2, which came on top of other select duties he had leveled previously.
