Here's the thing, saying things on TV doesn't equate to a legally binding confession. Otherwise some other president might be in trouble for saying he witheld funds in exchange for getting a prosecutor fired.

Hell, Buzz Aldrin said we didn't go to the moon during a late night interview. Was he joking? Was he serious? Does this mean he can be sued for lying to the american public for 50+ years?

I am saying that Trump did nothing beyond what every other president in my lifetime has done, but they were never called on it. If Trump can be prosecuted for doing what all presidents in the past have done, there's no reason to not persue them with the same vigor. Turn about is fair play and all that. It's getting to the point that The People are going to tire of these crooks.
