Trump brought this upon himself

The concluding paragraphs:

In truth, Trump is an old dog who has been using the same tricks for so long he may be incapable of learning any new ones. His repertoire begins with lying, but also includes casting blame on others and defying all norms and standards. It ends with a bold commitment to endless extreme claims of infallibility coupled with repeated demands for affirmation. His modus operandi of continuous attack guaranteed he would become, like Napoleon in Russia, a commander who went too far with disastrous consequences.

Like Napoleon, Trump had his chances to save himself, but his techniques worked so well, and for so long, that he seemed mesmerized by his own success. Part of Trump's dark magic is that it's hard to believe that what we see him doing is actually happening. For this reason, his actions and his attitude seemed to stymie efforts to confront him. For much of this year, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to authorize a full-on impeachment investigation because she still operated by the old rules.
...

Ultimately, the President and the country would not be in this place but for Donald Trump's astounding sense of entitlement and his inability to change course. In fact, given the strong economy, Trump could have been a shoo-in for reelection if he had chosen to be a less divisive president. His shame and the nation's trauma are his, and his alone.

God bless the USA
What Trump is trying to do is stop the Demprog/leapfrogs march to socialism, and communism; which has been going on for years. He was an insider, and saw the writing on the wall. Now, he is an outsider because he is a patriot. There is a reason for that. Sometimes, we don’t know the reason at the time. To every season, and all that. Go, Trump, and God bless the USA.

Trump has had a bullseye on his back since he first decided to run.
^^this^^

I absolutely despised the man before he got into the race and still didn't care for his childish back and forth with the other candidates. I'm also not so out of touch, that I thought he had a snowball's chance in hell of beating a cheat like hillary. But, as soon as it became apparent that he had beat the "next in line", they came at him with both barrels.

He opened my eyes to the fact the Washington politics is indeed a swamp that needs to be drained. It is a fraternity of lawyers in the "club" to enrich themselves with money and power. Not saying there aren't a few serving for the right reasons, but “power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely".

We've all been played by Washington and political parties. Donald Trump wasn't a member of a team and the other players got scared. It just so happens that he ran as an (R) and the democrats have proven themselves to be a petty, vile, and immature group who will stop at nothing to avenge their queen and protect their cash cow.

Now they resort to impeachment, because it is the only vessel they have available to protect their stranglehold over their subjects. The guidelines were written with such ambiguity, that they can twist the rules of the proceedings however they want, to meet their ends.

Come on November! Hopefully this farce remains on the minds of us subjects come voting time and we see a record turnout at the polls, especially in flyover states.

It's time to put up a national vote to repeal all the perks these tyrants slipped into their benefits package and set term limits, to make it less appealing to the ones who are there for nothing more than the power and money.

YMMV

I have 10,000 likes for this post. Our government has become so corrupt, and they did it right before our very eyes with half the country cheering them on.

More than half. Democrats create the Dept of Education against any authority in the constitution, and half hate it while half cheer it. Republicans create the TSA and way more than half the country cheers on having their rights taken away. Reagan goes into Grenada without congressional approval and we cheer him on. Obama kills American citizens with zero due process and he's still walking the streets a free man.

If I didn't have a grandkid that doesn't deserve the pain it would cause, I'd agree with you that if our youth want socialism, let them have it. You and I, our generation, failed drastically by raising a group of idiots that want this, and we need to fix it.

I'm just afraid of what will happen to the kids that actually know that they have to work hard to get ahead. It's not fair to kids like mine that don't expect the gov to take care of them.

As one of those kids who worked his ass off in order to get through college without student loans and sacrificed the “college experience” in order to do it (lived at home instead of on campus and headed to work every day after classes, while studying economics because I knew that I could use that degree to get a job), I’m pretty annoyed/livid at my “peers” pushing for debt forgiveness. I would have taken a drastically different approach had I known that I could borrow tens (hundreds) of thousands of dollars without having to pay all of it back.

"As one of those people who had to go bankrupt to afford my cancer surgery I am pretty livid that Democrats are offering an affordable solution to people with preconditions."

Don't be mad at the people getting affordable care be mad at the system that is allowing Universities and Loan companies to take advantage of citizens.

We can play the cancer card if you want. I noticed you used quotes though. Whose story are you referencing? As a cancer survivor (8 years and counting in remission), I’m really curious if you actually had cancer or if you’re just bullshitting to try to make a point and you don’t know your audience.

WTF are you even talking about?

I am mad at that system, personally. The government got themselves involved. They need to get out, then it won't be profitable to take advante of citizens, and the cost of college will drop drastically back to what it should be based on the cost-growth curve average of all other industries.

I was putting your statement in context.

If the government were to figure out universal health care would you hold that against all the people who got affordable health care who came after you? Even though you had to pay either for insurance or out of pocket for you treatment?

Why be mad at the people ( students or patients) instead of the system that allows corporations to take advantage of them?

....did you not read the context of my original post that you quoted?

Pro tip - I’m angry at both. I can be pissed off at someone who broke into my house AND the current laws that encourage that behavior.

EDIT: Your example sucked and kinda backfired btw. Like I said, I had cancer. I was diagnosed about a year after I graduated. I was able to afford my cancer surgery because I worked my ass off and chose a degree that allowed me to get a career, even though I was graduating into a horrible economy.

I did which is why i gave you my opinion that you were wrong and focussing on the wrong thing.

Why would you not want the next generation to have an easier/better time than you getting an affordable education or affordable health care?

Seems kind of selfish to me.
