Trump announces plan to chop down magnolia tree purportedly planted by Andrew Jackson: 'Must come to an end'

According to folklore, two trees were planted by Andrew Jackson to honor his late wife Rachel

President Donald Trump announced plans to chop down a tree that was said to have been planted by former President Andrew Jackson.

In a Truth Social post on Sunday, Trump said that he was working with "the wonderful people at the National Park Service" to make "tremendous enhancements to the White House, thereby preserving and protecting History!"

"One of the interesting dilemmas is a tree planted many years ago by the Legendary President and General, Andrew Jackson," Trump described. "It is a Southern Magnolia, that came from his home, The Hermitage, in Tennessee. That’s the good news!"

"The bad news is that everything must come to an end, and this tree is in terrible condition, a very dangerous safety hazard, at the White House Entrance, no less, and must now be removed," he continued.

I get it - I have a few on my property. After years, they can be massive - and if they're dying or in bad shape, should they fall they would all do a ton of damage.

It will not surprise me if the other news outlets ignore the condition of the tree itself.

Symbolism for destroying the democratic party? 🤔 Could take cuttings and regrow and plant at a later date.

He wants to make improvements to the rose garden and they're up in arms. Not like he wants to convert it back to stables.

Democrats don't like Jackson, even wanted to take him off money.

Democrats now: Trump is killing all the trees on the planet.
Democrats when tree kills someone: Trump is letting trees kill people. Why didn't he cut it down?

It would be kinda cool if they did something with the wood like replica kind of period piece of furniture from the Andrew Jackson era. Or sold off chunks of it and donate the money to national parks or something.

A few weeks back, there was story about a Swedish ivy that was on the mantle in the Oval Office, reported as dating back to JFK. There are photos of Jimmy Carter, Ronald Regan, Biden and Trump etc all with the ivy in the background. It's apparently no longer there, but rumor has it that cuttings of the plant were given as parting gift to White House staff.

Not sure if all the stories behind it are true or not but what a great tradition and legacy to carry on year after year.

They could send it to a woodworking craftsman to make a series of adult toys out of it.

Then package each one and send them to foreign leaders we don't like with a card that reads, "Compliments of the United States! Go #### Yourself!

'Must come to an end'

"Is this about a tree? NOPE

What is Andrew Jackson best known for?

👉 Ending the 2nd Central Banking system.

Why does Trump constantly highlight Jackson as being his favorite President?

Trump: “It must come to an end”

Connect the dots folks: He is NOT Talking about a tree.

👉 He’s talking about the FED."
