Former President Trump is the only living current or living former U.S. president who is not descended from slaveholders, according to a Tuesday report from Reuters.

The report detailed the ancestry of America's leaders as of the 117th Congress. The report found that five living presidents, two Supreme Court justices, 11 governors and 100 members of Congress had ancestors who owned slaves.

Presidents Biden, Carter, George W. Bush, Clinton and Obama all have ancestors who enslaved Black people in their family trees, according to the report, with Obama's link coming from his White mother's side.

But does that get cancelled out by the family members on the other side who fought in the Revolutionary War? Where's the algorithm? What about slave-owners who also fought in that war? Oh, and a couple who fought for the British, those detract from my total "Ancestor Purity Score"? The one who fought for the Confederacy but died in the Chicago POW camp, Camp Douglas what about him, since he died there is he a net neutral?

There were 176 black slave owners in South Carolina, North Carolina's largest slave owner in 1860 was a black plantation owner named , William Ellison. Most slaves that were brought to America from Africa were purchased from black slave owners. In 1830 ,3776 free Negro's owned 12, 740 black slaves. So do the relatives of the free black slaveowners get reparations too.
