So what stupidity do we have from our incompetent President today???

Well this should top the list:

Trump pitched 0% payroll tax rate for the rest of the year,

President Donald Trump, in a meeting with Republican lawmakers Tuesday on Capitol Hill, pitched a 0% payroll tax rate for employers and employees that would last through the rest of this year, a White House official told CNBC.

There was also discussion of making the payroll tax rollback permanent, said the official, who declined to be named. Payroll taxes are used to fund Medicare and Social Security. When asked about the potential cost of a payroll tax cut, the official pushed back and asked why there is always a focus on the cost of tax cuts.

I bet even the chuckleheads on here can figure out what a dumb idea this is...and that it is just a naked attempt to buy votes.

When asked at a press conference that ended just a bit ago, Larry Kudlow (whose economic knowledge could fit on the head of a pin) was asked how the US will be able to afford to eliminate the payroll tax for a year much less make it permanent...even Kudlow, the supreme dope that he is, could not come up with an answer. The best he could do is (of course) massage the ego of the President...."this is a bold move and we have a bold President"!!

But these are the kind of ideas that come from a man who is utterly unfit for the position he holds and who has surrounded himself with people whose sole duty is to bow before the Chosen One.

Greetings:

I might actually be for this - iff socialist insecurity and Medicare recipients were completely cut off from transfer payments since the source of funding will dry up.

I mean we gotta “pay for it” somehow.

Should be 0 to start with and everyone should pay 'their fair share' of federal income tax. No more eitc and other credits that cause 51% of the population to not contribute.

God this President is an idiot. Im sure his followers will come up with some way to make it seem like this is more winning and 3-d chess.

I don't see the logic behind this proposal. There is ZERO political will to deal with Social Security (but will be forced to in the next ~14 years) so short-changing this program now seems short-sighted. To be honest, I've heard a couple other talking heads call for the same proposal, but all have lacked details.

I don't think that is such a big problem. Actually, this might help many people, but sadly, I would also see no benefit. I already don't pay any federal taxes due to the child tax credit. I received back all of my taxes this year. From my paystub creatorI saw that most of my taxes went on medicare and social security. I don't know, and I guess we'll have to see what happens. Also, this might be an excellent opportunity for cryptocurrencies to rise lol.

The approval process on new accounts is 💯!

Taxation of a person's wage, the product of their labor, labor which they personally own outright, is theft. It is, by all definitions, financial slavery, with the State being the master. You don't pay, you get whipped, (fined or imprisoned). Wages, compensation for someone's production, their personal labor, are not "income". Income comes from passive means such as rents, interest income, profits from the sales of stocks, etc., and as such are taxable.

You telling me owning an apartment building is not labor?

Nope. Sure isn't. Passive income. After all expenses are accounted for, what's left over is profit/income, therefore taxable.
One could argue that what is left over isnt profit, but the owners paycheck, after all he can't claim his food, his kids braces, his house etc.

One could. But then one would have to ask how that person came into possession of an apartment building to begin with.
