Trying to install IM'r on flash drive

I've tried to install yahoo Im'r (6.0) on my flash drive but it tries to make a registry entry on the computer. I can't have it do that.

Does anyone know of a IM'r that can work as a standalone on one of these portable devices and be used on a plug and play basis?

I use Trillian. Not sure if it can be a standalone but I use it because it doesn't have all the "hang ups" that the other messengers do.

Its Java based, so it won't touch the registry. It can also connect to Yahoo, AIM, and MSN messengers, just like Trillian.

Thanks for the references guys! I've heard of Trillian....read something about them and yahoo have code wars...Yahoo trying to keep Trillian customers from communicating with Yahoo IM'r customers...

I'll check out this qnext.com ....
