"TAMPA - A Pinellas County man is in jail for trying to bring a box cutter onto a plane at Tampa International Airport last weekend. Police are trying to find out if he meant to do it, or if it just slipped his mind."

The way it was hidden, it doesn't seem like he didn't realize he had it.

I had a lighter in my carry-on backpack without realizing it when I went to Texas. It wasn't until on my way to the airport to fly home that I realized I had it.

Yes, that book he took to read on the plane. He forgot that he had cut pages out of the middle of it and left a box cutter there.

I use a box cutter at work all the time so I tend to carry it in my coat pocket at all times. When leaving for Vegas I had forgotten about it and I slipped it into the trash can before anyone noticed.
