That guy doesn't look like a usual suspect and a fishing store isn't their typical habitat. Unless he is a biological woman in transition.

Dan Bailey set this up. I don't know how he knew that Tucker would be at that fishing store, but the had someone video the confrontation then he put it on the internet , this was not a casual meeting it was a set-up.
Not only that but he did this in front of e member of Carlson's family and had the balls to say Carlson was a bad human being.
What an ass whole. Dan Bailey is a POS of the highest order. He was smiling when he did this. When you call a man bad human being and confront him you aren't smiling. It is something that is done in anger. This was a pre-planned confrontation that this man wanted his 15 minute to get.

My guess would be that he saw Tucker walking around and told his buddy/wife record.

Something that bears repeating ad nauseam but ..

If to make your case - complete your mission - fulfill your goal - accomplish making your point - and so on ...

If to DO that you have to constantly do things you wouldn't THINK of doing to your mom or wife or children - if you constantly compromise your principles or ethics, to do this "thing" -

Then in THIS story - YOU are the bad guy. The "good" guy doesn't have to make such compromises. He doesn't have to.

I'm often perplexed at the kind of behavior even villains in TV shows and movies, the hoops they mentally jump through to assure themselves they are doing right - I guess I am more comfortable with a guy who KNOWS what he does is BAD, and has no regret DOING it. But too often, we have - as in real life - people who do awful, terrible, cruel things, and they go home at night soothing their conscience that what they did was RIGHT - and then go out and do it again.

Tucker likes to fly fish. He most likely set up a guided fishing trip. The guide he booked probably mentioned to someone else that he was going to guide someone famous. Fly guides are a close fraternity. People talk. Plus guides often hang around the fly shop. Either shooting the bull or scoping out potential customers.

I agree, this wasn't a chance encounter. Bailey knew more or less when Carlson would show up. He just had to hang around long enough to spring his surprise. Bailey is not the typical male you meet out west in places like Wyoming & Montana. I hope Bailey loses customers for his little stunt.

An article said his biggest beef was that Tucker kills people because of what he says about vaccines and says he's a racist (which is what you usually say nowadays instead of fascist - an insult which no one will ask WHY you say it).

I might be mistaken - but I've not heard Tucker repudiate vaccines or campaign against them - to my knowledge, he is against compulsion.
A lot of people in Europe feel the same way and are protesting - and they are hardly "right-wing conservatives". A vaccination "passport" should not be some kind of litmus test for you to rejoin the rest of the world - and that's what these people are against.

Can SOMEONE explain to me - if YOU have the vaccine - and someone else does not - they are no threat to you. Nor any other vaccinated person.

Because if you're worried that an unvaccinated person is STILL going to give you the disease AFTER you got the jab - get used to living in a bubble for the rest of your life - because there's seriously no point. If the vaccine doesn't protect you enough - just stay home.

There are people out there with good sound reasons why they don't want it - for one, they have antibodies. They caught it, and their body is immune - the vaccine really won't do anything except make a politician happy - but it might make things worse. Natural immunity is the BEST thing to have. IF you are naturally immune - it's not going to change anything.

So the lunatic goes - well, what about small children? They aren't vaccinated. Yeah? Look at the national data. We have whole states where not one child has died due to COVID. They are more likely to be killed by a lightning strike. I am not kidding.

People who hate on Tucker Carlson have clearly never watched one second of his show. They're just slobbering durhards who repeat what some celebrity says because easier than having an original idea.
The same with Rush Limbaugh, but to a different degree. I mentioned to an office mate once that Rush cracked me up with an exceptionably funny caller. He replied, "He racist". I asked him why is that? "He just is."

I can’t think of even one person on the left I’ve criticized without ever having heard them speak or read what they said.

I admit that I DID say negative things about Rush before I’d heard him speak. Ditto Newt.

I was chatting with a female friend years ago talking politics and mentioned Pat Buchanan (now my memory is fuzzy and it may have been someone else along those lines). She said, "He's scary." I said, "Why do you say that?" And she paused for a minute, and said, "I don't really know. That's just what I keep hearing all the TV people saying."

That is the one and only time I ever heard someone back off a parrot statement. Typically they get all pissed and go, "OMG because he is and if you don't think so then you suck and are racist and suck some more!! :jameo: "

When I see ****s on the intardwebz insisting that Tucker is RACIST! I know they're dumbshits who couldn't pick him out of a lineup.
