Turner Elementary???

Hi! My husband just started working in Waldorf, and the kids & I just got here....
My 6 year old, was in Montessori School in SC and we now need to get him in school.
I am in "sticker shock" as to the prices of the Montessori Schools here and am debating putting him in public school for the remainder of the year so that I can work and financially prepare for the cost of Montessori again next year.
I called the school board and they said he was in the Turner Ele. district. Can anyone give me any info on this school...or any other private schools that may have openings and be a little less costly??
I also have a 2 year old if anyone has views on childcare.

look at mdreportcard.org. compare this school to the 2 best elementary schools in the county, which are wade and craik - turner is way below the best. You can also go to some other websites like greatschools.com, etc and research it a little. That area of the county (bannister) has a lot of issues. Everything is expensive here compared to SC. Good luck with your decision.

Thanks for the info, I will check it out. Yes, you are right, the prices are all much higher. Oh well,that's life I guess!! :) Thanks again!

My son goes to Turner now and my daughter went up until this year when she moved to middle school. I love Turner!
My sons says he likes it also. What grade will your child be in? My daughter even went back for Job Shadow Day to shadow her 5th grade teacher. She loved her!
I even went to Turner when I was in elementary school.
