When I inquired about them a couple of days ago I was told by Lab rescue that they have been adopted. :yay:

i just got the email this morning

Seems like this email went around once before awhile ago. I thought it sounded familiar when I got it past on from a friend earlier this week. That's why I checked on them. I sent an email to Lab Rescue and got a response the next day that they were adopted. Please call the shelter where they are supposed to be and let us know if they're really there or not. I can't call them from here at work. I'd hate for them to fall through the crack if everyone is thinking they've found a home.

They have been adopted. We foster for Lab Rescue and it was on the page that they had been adopted a while back as well.

Just received this email: Can anyone help?

I am DESPERATELY trying to find homes for two 4 yr old male Pits. One has been dumped at the KILL shelter, the other will be soon. They are SO sweet. It is just me who has taken on this task. I just can't let them die.
Can you offer any help?

Thanks.

More info on these dogs:

I don't know too much about Blaze. I know he is 4 yrs old, has lived with the same family the entire time, neutered, good with other dogs, not sure about kids or cats, but I can ask. His owner totalled his car and he had to go home with his Mother who drove the dog to the Shelter and left him. He had to have fluids for heat exhaustion is what I was told. He may also have skin issues (that is a Pit for ya). I do not think he has been sick or had surgery. I have a friend who works in the Shelter and she is keeping an eye on him. She said the staff really like him. It is a KILL shelter though (MC Humane Society-they WILL put Pits down). I will go visit him this weekend.
Tyson is 4 yrs old, male, neutered. With the owner's Mother in Olney, MD, but not for long. Same family since a puppy. Now they have kids, and no time, blah, blah....same crap. I spent some time with Tyson. Right now he lives with a Lab and they get along. Cats, don't think so. He is a strong dog, but knows basic commands. He will need a person who is willing to exercise him. KEY to a healthy Pit is exercise, exercise. If Casear knows anything, that is the one TRUE statement. Tyson will be fine with exercise. He is a sweet dog.

I wish people would realize what great pets these dogs can make. Granted they are not for everyone and they need responsible and knowledgeable owners. It's a shame that because of their breed they are sentenced to die. I have people tell me all the time how they acknowledge it's all hype but yet they won't adopt one because they have kids... :eyebrow:

They can't all exist with other dogs, but there are PLENTY of other breeds that are the same way. Please if you are looking for a loving and devoted companion consider these dogs! :flowers:
