Two children dead after Democrat-backed law prohibits police from pursuing suspect driving 111 mph

Washington state sheriff warns criminals are taking advantage of lenient laws restricting police in the state

A Washington state sheriff sounded the alarm on a Democrat-backed law that bars police officers from certain vehicular chases after two children were tragically killed by a suspect driving more than 100 mph.

The suspect, Keith A. Goings, was seen traveling at 111 miles per hour on Interstate 90, but law enforcement was unable to pursue him because speeding alone is not enough probable cause to do so under the law.

Officials say the driver is suspected of a DUI, but because that was not determined until after the crash, they were unable to pursue.

Story out of the Park last week, someone stole a Hellcat. Deputies didn't pursue when spotted.

That must have been the one that passed me at 4am doing triple digits.

The cops that WERE following it, were about 3-4 mins behind it when it blew by Loveville Road.

This seems to me to be a damned if you do, damned if you don't thing.

They stopped high speed chases - because they often resulted in a death.
Now, they're ALLOWING people to speed - and people die.

Which is the better choice?
