Two polls, Two Very Different Conclusions

Which poll is giving the correct perception?

This story from the AP
or this one from the London Times?

The AP says doom and gloom, we're all gonna die, while the Times says Iraqis believe they are better off today. The AP must have polled the Al Qaida Support Coalition in congress.

I'm still not sure why they oversampled Anbar province, Sadr City, Kirkuk and Basra City, except that those are regions that are overwhelmingly Sunni, Kurdish and Shiite, respectively.

Even with the bad numbers, the ABC poll still seems that if you're Sunni or Kurdish, you're still not upset with the situation. This makes me wonder how the overall figures can be the way they are if they're properly weighted, because the Sunni population - while overwhelmingly unfavorable - is only about a third of the country - or less.
