Help "Invisible Dogs"
There are two senior labs at the TriCounty Animal Shelter and they'd love to have a home for their last years.
There is a Black and a Chocolate.
They are both heartworm positive, treatment at this age might be more dangerous than letting them live out what time they have left in peace (a vet would be qualified to answer that question). For the month of November, it's $45 to adopt a senior dog from the shelter!
The black lab has callouses all over his body (even on his penis - how hard of a life did he have to get in that shape?). The chocolate is a lover. He's quite the leaner and loves to be petted. Unfortunately he shreds his what blankets they give him, so he doesn't even have anything to lay on besides the hard cold cememt.
THIS IS EXTREMELY TIME SENSITIVE - RESCUES HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN ABLE TO BE WORKED OUT YET - THE SHELTER NEEDS TO KNOW ASAP IF ANYTHING CAN BE DONE!
Personally, I think anyone that can offer a loving home for one of these guys for how ever long he has left should consider taking him. If I didn't have a houseful of my own, plus other fosters, I'd gladly open my heart and home to one of these guys.
Please if anyone can help let your heart rule!
