"Two weeks to slow the spread"

This surge will burn out in a couple weeks, just like the six surge we had before. Dems want to putting mask requirements so when it goes down they can claim "See, we know what we're doing."

How do you guys benefit from not wearing a mask?

Why do you guys claims are weak yet you cry because you have to wear a tiny piece of cloth to ensure a kid with cancer down the street doesn't die because you are selfish?

"The former Marine had posted several anti-vaccination messages on social media in recent months, according to The Daily Mail.
On May 7, Trujillo changed his Facebook profile picture border to read “I have an immune system,” an apparent rationale for not getting inoculated, the outlet reported."

33-year-old Colorado sheriff’s deputy who publicly criticized the effectiveness of coronavirus vaccines died from COVID-19 complications.
Daniel Trujillo, a married father of two, died on Wednesday, the Denver Sheriff’s Department said.
“It is with great sadness that we share 33-year-old Denver Sheriff Deputy Daniel “Duke” Trujillo passed away last evening from COVID-19 complications,” the department wrote on Facebook Thursday morning.

We know riding a motorcycle is dangerous and potentially deadly, 5k die every year riding one. They have decided it's worth the risk, and we let the do it. Exercising and exercise equipment sends 500k to the hospital each year, but people decide it's worth the risk. People who don't want to wear a mask have weighed their own personal risk tolerance and found it's worth the risk to them. And until you can prove they are a danger to others, that's the only metric that matters. I personally wear a mask, but I don't care if others do (unless they are hacking up a lung, then you might get the stinkeye).

Yep, lets dust this off and try again.
(So are they admitting that this was a good plan under President Trump?)

There is a difference between putting yourself in danger and putting others at risk.

When exercising other people know to stay away from you so they wont be injured by you swinging weights around.

The whole point of mask wearing is to protect those who cant protect themselves. Immune compromised, elderly and young people. This variant shows the importance of mask wearing because not enough people wore masks or got vaccinated so the virus was able to become stronger. This is going to keep happening until people stop being sellfsh and ignorant and get vaccinated.

Go and take a hazmat class....

Hey dildo, its called personal protection equipment for a reason...it protects the wearer NOT the kid down the street..
No different than your neighbor spraying a pesticide and folks believing HIS mask will protect you next door working in your yard.

N95 respirators and surgical masks are examples of personal protective equipment that are used to protect the wearer from airborne particles and from liquid contaminating the face. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) also regulate N95 respirators.

Oh really? So just tell the masks that. If everyone wore a mask then it would be impossible to catch it huh?

That is what seat belts, bumpers, roll bars, airbags and insurance are for.

You know minor things that help to keep others safe. Like masks

By all means... Wear your mask in the car.

You're just the type.

MASKS Don't Work .......

Based on their analysis, the authors present four “Stylized Facts” about COVID-19, which are:
  1. Once a region reaches 25 total COVID deaths, within a month the growth rate in deaths per day falls to approximately zero. In other words, no matter the country or state and its policies, deaths per day stop increasing within 20-30 days of passing a threshold of 25 deaths.
  2. Once that happens, deaths per day either begin to fall or the trend remains flat.
  3. The variability in death trends across regions has fallen sharply since the beginning of the epidemic and remains low. All states studied, all countries studied, have become more similar in their trends and have remained so.
  4. Observations 1-3 suggest that the effective reproduction number, R, has hovered around one worldwide after the first 30 days of the epidemic.
The paper’s conclusion is that the data trends observed above likely indicate that nonpharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) – such as lockdowns, closures, travel restrictions, stay-home orders, event bans, quarantines, curfews, and mask mandates – do not seem to affect virus transmission rates overall.

Lockdowns and Mask Mandates Do Not Lead to Reduced COVID Transmission Rates or Deaths, Study Suggests

You do understand that 300 to 500,000 die each year from the flu in the USA before covid.

So tell us dildo, what is the reason for healthy folks that have no other symptomatic health problems to get the covid vax?

So what? Now 600K additional people have died needlessly.

To keep the variant from spreading and mutating into a stronger virus.

To keep the virus from transmitting from you to someone else you know who may not be able to get the vaccine because they are immune compromised, too young or too old.

Have you really not learned that in the last 18 months?
