"MIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- All charges against Army Muslim chaplain James Yee -- who was initially accused of espionage at the terrorist detention camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba -- have been dropped, the U.S. Army said Friday."

"Evidence would have put national security at risk"
Why does it seem to me that every time the government is asked to prove the guilt of someone arrested in this so called "war on terrorism" that they come back with the above response? What did they expect when they arrested the guy? That he would be declared an enemy combatant so they could get out of proving guilt once again?
And then when it all collapses they throw non-judicial punishment for adultery and pornography in there to make it look like they were not wasting everyone's time. With those two charges you could get rid of 2/3 of the US military.
Maybe it's the "boy who cried wolf" syndrome, but every time I see national security mentioned in one of these cases anymore, the first thing I think is "no evidence".
