"BERLIN (Reuters) - The United States lost its status as the largest donor to the World Bank's main fund for poor countries, the lender said on Friday, as Britain pledged more in the latest funding round that secured a record amount of aid.

Losing its position as the top donor could weaken Washington's influence over the World Bank, which is the largest provider of development assistance to poor countries, and over the policies that decide how its cash is spent."

we should quit trying to buy friends with Aid Money, and bring our troops home from Europe .... I think Korea is the only place we really need to have Ground Forces Deployed and a few scattered Naval and AF Bases ........... eff'em the Cold War is over if Putin wants to play games and take over Western Europe - let'em have it the Muslims are long in their way to taking over by birth rate alone ........

The World Bank isn't the power broker it used to be anyways. They're at bests third tier now. Arabs loan more money than the World Bank. Let'em all rot!
