"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. missteps in the Middle East have estranged Washington from some long-time allies in the region and made OPEC suppliers less inclined to rescue the top consumer from record oil prices that are battering an already-fragile American economy."

"The White House's fundamental problem is they don't have credibility with the issues that are important to OPEC, so they're not inclined to give us a break on price," said David Goldwyn, an energy consultant.

"There's no motivation right now for them to help us out with more production," Goldwyn said.

This is good to hear. That means we don't have to blame Bush for the outlandish price of oil. I'm so glad that's squared away, takes away another red herring from the Crat nominee for the general election.

I guess this guy has a theory, well, so do I. OPEC has a new buyer in Chine. The Chinese are fat with American money and they are using increasing amopunts of fuel oil and theycould care less what it costs. So why should OPEC cut their price to help us when they can peddle the supply in China.

Also we have idiots in the Congress that are too stupid to let us drill off our own coast and China is getting that too ,drilling off Cuba.

If the Congress keeps screwing around and worrying more about fornicating reindeer than American fuel prices it's not going to get any better.

Actually, Congress doesn't want to hear about the fornicating reindeer. Turns out the Alaska pipeline has caused improved fertility in the deer, caribou and elk so they are more prolific (seems the warming around the pipeline caused by the oil flowing through it prolongs the mating season so more does get pregnant.)

The Crats are trying to figure a way to blame this all on Bush, but we all know the Alaska pipeline some from an earlier administration. Too flippin' bad for the Crats.
