U.S. Says Iran Ended Atomic Arms Work

"WASHINGTON, Dec. 3 — A new assessment by American intelligence agencies concludes that Iran halted its nuclear weapons program in 2003 and that the program remains frozen, contradicting judgment two years ago that Tehran was working relentlessly toward building a nuclear bomb.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran delivering a speech in April at the nuclear plant in Natanz in observance of National Nuclear Day.

The conclusions of the new assessment are likely to reshape the final year of the Bush administration, which has made halting Iran’s nuclear program a cornerstone of its foreign policy."

So the American intelligence sources that have been telling us that Iran has been making Nuclear weapons is now telling us that they havent since 2003.

Intelligence is a misnomer here. They have caused us to be vilified the world round on a mistaken report of nuclear weapons manufacture. They have caused sanctions to Iran, they have practically crippled a Bush administration. Now they say the weapon production isnt there.

If I were President I would go out to Langley with a Bulldozer and shove the whole place down, Fire everyone there and start from scratch. If this is the worth of our "Intelligence" we can do as well without it.

If this is true the next thing that needs to be determined is why that idiot Ahmodinnerjacket has been spouting off and refusing inspection for so long, when he could have as easily solved the whole mess several years ago.

So, they're still enriching the uranium they have, they don't want to let outside agencies see what they're doing with any of the stuff they have, and they could have weapons grade easily now or in the near future.......

What is it they halted? Who's verifying this?

Hmmmm. Read the entire article and did a word search. No mention of military intelligence. Could you, perhaps, be hallucinating again? Or are you just trolling?

The new estimate says that enrichment program could still provide Iran with enough raw material to produce a nuclear weapon sometime by the middle of next decade, a timetable essentially unchanged from previous estimates.

But the new estimate declares with “high confidence” that a military-run Iranian program intended to transform that raw material into a nuclear weapon has been shut down since 2003
So the timetable for obtaining a nuke hasn't changed according to the intelligence estimate only that the military ran program has shut down. What is to say that Iran decided to rely upon a non-military ran program to continue with the development thereby facilitating the ability to hide the effort?

Funny, all the libs that have done nothing but trash our intelligence since 2002 and all the sudden had a change of heart and now consider it rock solid  Why is it the libs root for Iran and other terrorists and root against our military and the U.S.?

P.S. - I wouldn't wet yourselves with giddiness so soon about this "report". Something seems very fishy here and it will come out soon. If anybody thinks Iran is NOT working on a nuke, they are being dangerously naive.

:yeahthat:

And Bush is still threatning Iran

We're the instigators here.

He's just trying to finish off our world credibility. I wonder if al-Qaida hired Bush, I mean, I really do.

Iraq, Iran, Katrina (which isn't entirely Bush's fault by any means), the North American Union.

Mr. Bush's legacy has been and forever will be one of destruction and chaos to this country, to our country.

Iraq? What's the problem? Hussein is gone and we are there killing the bad guys hand over fist (even though the media don't report those numbers) P.S. - Hussein DID have weapons of mass destruction because I've seen pictures of lotsa dead people over there that he killed. Just because he had a million warnings that inspectors were coming and had plenty of time to hide them is why they weren't found

Iran? It's a rogue terrorists nation that has vowed to wipe Isreal off the map and is developing nukes. AND has been proven that they have financed and provided weapons that are killing our soldiers, which in my opinion is already an act of war against us and we should already be bombing them.

Katrina? I still don't understand what he was supposed to do that he didn't do there

North American Union - I'm sort of with you on that... I think something is rotten in Denmark on and that's why he is throwing in with the open borders crowd and refusing to do anything about the swarm of illegals pouring in.

And now this idiotic "bailout" of the peeps that didn't get a fixed mortgage and went the ARM route. Sheeesh :banghead:

But as far as Al Quaida hiring Bush, that sounds like something straight out of the Moveon.org crowd or the "we bombed our own buildings" crowd :jameo:

As far as world opinion... who gives a rats a$$, this country has done more to help other countries than any other country in the history of the world and what do we get in return?.... we get spit on by almost all of them :coffee:

Where are the weapons of mass destruction? :tap: (And I'm not talking about 6 rogue missiles from 25 years ago either )

I don't believe the government attacked us on 9-11.

I just wonder. Bush is helping al-Qaida more than he's damaging them.

Iraq. We never should've attacked 'em. I'm not saying pullout now, in fact I'm against an immedate pullout. I just don't think we should've attacked them, but that means nothing because we can't change the past.

Katrina

If he would've gone down there, and at the least, handed bottles of water to people, he'd have a much higher approval rating now.

Katrina is more symbolic than it is literal.
