Ugly Sotterley slave Plantation.

Below.

A new piece of the puzzle and a new piece of direct factual evidence has just dropped in and I really want to share it with you two in particular.

Here = Enterprise Newspaper - SoMdNews.com: Letter reply about Sotterley being the ugliest place in all of St. Mary’s County.

So first that Caucasian Man started off his letter with a white-lie by saying the response was about denying any funds to any place which had slaves, and that is not true not correct not accurate but the Caucasian Man gives that white-lie as the basis of his position. There after everything he writes is based on his own inserted white lie and not on the real subject.

But that is NOT the worst of it - oh no.

At the end of his trashy letter in the very last sentence he takes the subject about Sotterley directly into the Sotterley pack of lies - the white lies.

He says that slavery is morally wrong "now" as if the morality is some new invention, and that the slavery was not morally wrong at those times, and that position is not just a huge big white lie - but even more so is that lie is the big white lie of the Sotterley slave plantation.

And yet there is more - he says that the slavery has made the USA better, as it does not matter (to such Caucasians) that we whites had stolen the labor and the lives of millions of human being who were exploited as slavery because it made the white America into a better place - according to that racist pig.

But even more-so is that this barbaric white trash and white lies are the true message given by the Sotterley slave Plantation.

Sotterley is a monument for the telling of the white lies, and it is a showcase for the pursuit of those white lies, so that Man in that letter has indeed given the true and reprehensible message of that Sotterley slave plantation.

That ignorant white Man does not have the sense enough to be ashamed of him self.

:dingding:
Could you please give some of your crazy energy to the plight of the Native Americans. Why is it always about the Blacks with you? The Native American suffered first at the hands of the White man, and they are still suffering. I am not proud of things that happened in America in the past, but you don't try to remedy the situation, or just let it rest. We need a :spew: smiley named :jpc:. Also, are you ignoring the fact that your comrade ,Marion Barry, is bashing people of Asian descent? You exhaust me!:faint:

One last comment on this thread...the idea written by the OP, whose plaintive cry was that this is not a competition...

Any discussion, posted on an open forum IS a competition of ideas. It has been thus since 2 or more people have gathered anywhere with the intent of communicating.

If one is not ready to have other competing, or even complementary, ideas expressed, open a Blog and set it so all comments have to be moderated.

Otherwise, accepting that other ideas will be expressed, shows a bit of maturity and thoughtfulness.

Where do we start?
If Sotterely has to go, the feds better ante up with a new tear down America stimulus fund.
We have to start with those famous slave owners: Washington, Jefferson and quite a few of those guys who founded our country.
What do we call Washington DC? Marion Barry world?
Mt. Vernon and Montpelier would make nice parking lots.
History is history. Some of it regretful, but still history.
Just make sure you don't forget the lessons.

:tap::tap::tap: I am still waiting for a reply for post # 161.
Hi R:

I am putting a response to #161 below, but first I want to explain that the reason that I did not respond to it before is because it is not coherent, and I do not mean anything personal against you but just that the question is not able to be understood and it needed to be done more clearly.

[ THE INFAMOUS POSTING #161 ]

No one is ever going to forget what the white folk did to the African people, but that real life history is NOT included at the ugly racist Sotterley plantation.
So tell us how you remember it.
So how do I remember it - by my reading the history books, and historical movies, and various means of study, because those things make my memory more clear.

Or how I remember it - The white people in the USA forced Africans into slavery for some 300 years, and then another 100 years of racist persecution under the "Jim Crow" laws - which is how the correct historical record goes.

How I remember it - as that does not include what is taught by the Sotterley slave plantation that the white people were morally justified or morally right, and that the white people's greed and cruelty were somehow honorable when they were NOT.

I would also like to know how tearing down the buildings will change anything. The land and it's history will still exist.
Tearing down the Sotterley mansion will change the ignorant glorification of that horrible place.

We do not praise the gun that killed Martin Luther King.

And the family of Robert Kennedy do not want to keep the memorials of his death, link HERE.

Tearing down that racist ugly mansion will not change the real and true history but it will destroy the white lies attached to that trashy place.

Tearing that trashy mansion down would definitely improve the property and the land, and then maybe build something wholesome and build some decent buildings on the property, as like a school or a nursing home and then start making some morally decent money on the property.

It just hit me why you come on here every few months and post this  xxxxx. You have to prove that you are nuts to keep your public assistance.
You truly do not need to use dirty language to communicate effectively, and maybe if you thought about your own reputation in your language then you might see the vile ignorance of that Sotterley plantation too.

And no, my being Disabled has absolutely nothing to do with posting on any Internet forum, and I am not disabled based on me being nuts. Me being nuts is just the fun part of me being Disabled.

Some people try to claim that the Sotterley Plantation is so beautiful and nice but it is the ugliest place in all of St Mary's County. It is ugly because Sotterley is built upon the most brutal hatred that the USA has ever known, it was built by violent exploitation and by cruel butchery and by sinful greed.

The supporters always brag about the Sotterley slave cabin on the property, but that was the cabin for for the house slaves, while the field slaves lived and labored in far worse conditions.

The bigger wrong of financing and supporting the Sotterley Plantation is not the slavery but the horrible process of glamorizing the slave Masters, and of glamorizing the Master's Mansion as if it is some noble or honorable place which it is not. Of course many people like to refer to it as "history" and "Historic" as if being "history" makes it all okay, but that is not accurate because the Sotterley Plantation is presenting that "history" in a dishonest way as in a pack of lies. The people who built and maintained the Sotterley Plantation did not do the work, they did not earn the money or the wealth, as the Masters of Sotterley were really sinful and barbaric persons.

It would be different and would be better if that ugly Plantation building were torn down, and maybe build some decent place on the property, as like build a school or a nursing home there, so then the entire St Mary's population could take pride into the property, instead of the now one-sided praise given to honor that slave Plantation which it does not deserve. That kind of ugly history needed to have been left to rot or buried and disposed of, instead of praising it or sustaining it as a true embarrassment to the other part of our community who reject it and denounce it.

Wasn't your question answered by a few dozen comments left under the letter that you sent to The BayNet?

Wow! I am sure you have the facts to back up all of your accusations about this person and Sotterley Plantation.
Yes of course, that is given inside the posting #176 on page 18.

It kind of works like magic, in that if you read the post then you will have the facts too.

Could you please give some of your crazy energy to the plight of the Native Americans. Why is it always about the Blacks with you?
I would be happy to denounce the wrongs done to the Native Americans, but you are mistaken in viewing me as always taking on the African Americans or any such minority group as that is not what I am doing.

I am a happy-to-be white Man and I am cheering on my fellow white race for us white folk to start doing right.

I do not tell the black folk to do better - hell no, but I do tell the white people to do better because I am inside of the white group.

The black people do not condemn the Sotterley plantation because they know what it is and what it represents, so my plight is for me to tell my fellow white people to stop our stone stupid ignorance and let us white people to put away our own embarrassment.

The ignorant ugly Sotterley plantation does not harm the black people - the Sotterley Plantation is a white stain of our horrible immorality and our unchecked greed and our barbaric cruelty, and we white people need to repent of it and start making amends for ourselves.

We need a :spew: smiley named :jpc:.
That idea is something which I like.

So long as it is done sensibly - of course.

A JPC smiley.

Also, are you ignoring the fact that your comrade ,Marion Barry, is bashing people of Asian descent? You exhaust me!:faint:
This simply is not a competition.

It does matter if you do not like what some black man does - as if that means us white folk can do our wrongs too.

Right and wrong are not in a competition, as like two wrongs do not make a right.

My point was and remains that just because you or others are competing with me then that does not mean that I am competing back at them.

This is not a competition for me, and others are missing the most important aspects simply because they are competing with me.

I ask people to see as I do and stop viewing this as a competition and then they too can grow up.

In this case it is not really a competition of white people against black people as that would be reprehensible, and I myself try to be on both sides even though I am on the white side, so I am trying NOT to participate in the racist competition of one race against the other race.

As such the ugly ignorant Sotterley Plantation needs to be torn down and trampled under by us white people, because it represents our own white lies.

The Sotterley slave plantation would be a great place to start in ending the ignorant white racist trash.

We could set the high moral example for the rest of the USA and for our fellow white people, so yes - here would be an excellent place to start.

The Sotterley slave Plantation is NOT (is not) about remembering the past.

That place is about white-washing the past with a bunch of misleading lies - white lies.

To rightfully remember our past then we need to rightfully judge that place as being the evil which it is - and then rightfully tear it down into ashes and stomp it into the ground forever.

How about turning it into a brothel that will partake in white slavery, you know, the kind that traffics in young women and girls. Would that make things better JPC? It couldn’t be any worse, right?

Your math seems flawed. From what I could find the first "slaves" arrived in early 1600 as indentured servants. Most of these had been white British people. The first official slave was sentenced to slavery around 1640. Most of the first Black slaves were indentured servants, who upon completion of a said term had been given land, animals and tools to develop their own plantations.

Slaves prior to this had been on Spanish settlements.

Based on your logic slavery just ended around 1940, and the so called "Jim Crow Laws" will still be in effect until around 2040. So no I guess you are psychic.

Excellent.

Will anyone be attending the speaker series that begins this evening? They all sound interesting.

http://www.sotterley.org/sstaylor.pdf
I definitely will not be attending any presentation at that trashy plantation.

And let us take note that it is to speak about one (1) slave in the White House who lived rather comfortably.

It is NOT an account of the slavery at the Sotterley plantation, and at the bottom of that PDF is a note that the only reason that presentation is being made is because of a big money grant by the Boeing Company.

This is what is meant by white-washing that place with white-lies.

How about turning it into a brothel that will partake in white slavery, you know, the kind that traffics in young women and girls. Would that make things better JPC? It couldn’t be any worse, right?
I do not like your nasty ideas, and you get angry when I criticize your nasty postings.

So no, I would not want that nasty plantation to be turned into some thing even more wrong.

I have said that the Sotterley plantation could be torn down and replaced by such as a school or nursing home as those would be improvements.
