Unbelievable!

Happy Camper!
He had a show on TLC or Discovery where he could read minds and he won a car; don't remember the specifics but people like him and David Blain intrigue me while freaking me out all at the same time.

I love that guy! He's easily the most entertaining and believable illusionist in history.

Believable illusionist?

How about 'clever deceptionist'? That's what I admire, their cleverness, not our desire to believe the unbelievable.

Wrong (what a surprise!). This guy is absolutely mind-blowing as in you can't for the life of you figure out how he does it. You have to see his TV show - Jess, Doug and I were watching it when we were in TX and it was just amazing.

Did anyone notice he never moved his right leg? Plus he's wearing very baggy clothing? I'll bet there's some sort of mechanism that sticks in the ground for leverage, connected to supports for his right leg and back.

Oh, OK. So he CAN lay on his back and hold himself up with one leg, bent at 90 degrees.

Must be MAGIC!

Or MAYBE he has figured out a clever way, or not so clever seeings as how you were on the other end of a TV and what not, to make a trick look good.

Or...maybe it IS magic!

...I am too; Amazed out how clever and practiced illusionists can be.

The first time I ever met a magician, in real life, right next to me, the finger/guillotine trick was amazing. Same for the light bulb and the card tricks.

I appreciate the effort that goes into pulling off tricks but a huge part of the illusion is our desire for it to work.
