Wasn't sure how to classify these songs, but I grew up with them. They cut across genres and generations. One thing they do have in common is that most of them were sung and popularized by female singers.

I would say Petula Clark would be the Mersey Sound type music and the rest from the first posting as British Invasion (except Lynn Anderson). I guess the rest is 60's folk/pop music.
