Anyone have recommendations for one? My SIL has been looking for one. She uses a disposable one now but wants something that takes better quality pics and has zoom.

Long time ago, the ONLY underwater camera to buy was the Nikonos. If you didn't have one, you weren't a real underwater photographer.

It's been a long time, I have no idea what's current.

She will have some options

1. get a waterproof bag or enclosure for a decent camera or

2. Olympus makes some cameras that are waterproof to 33 ft.

Stylus 1030 SW

I saw some pretty rough testing on the camera and it held up very well under water, frozen in water and thrown about.

I bought the Olympus Stylus 790 SW about 2 months ago. We do alot of water sports and swim alot and I got tired of buying disposable waterproof cameras and risking taking my nice camera out and ruining it. I've used it at the waterpark quite a few times now and my pictures have come out great. I love it! It also records video with sound.
