Every utopia assumes humanity will somehow not act like humanity. The very same drives that got us where we are are the ones that make us unsuited for utopia. Every successful fictional utopia assumes that we gain the ability to "fix" aberrant behavior but somehow dont lose those other traits that cause advancement.
