A man who doesn't want his child is a deadbeat dad.

A woman who doesn't want her child is 'pro choice'.

Go figure.

A black who votes for obama and not the white guy is just a voter.

A white who does not vote for obama is a racist.

Go figure.

A woman can choose abortion because it's her body... a man's only choice is seriously to use a condom and cross his fingers and pretty much pray. Is it fair? no... is it reality? yes... is there a better way to fix this situation legally? I cannot think of any.

But it's not just HER body......

But it's not just HER body......

From a legal standpoint, it is just HER body...no part of an unplanned pregnancy is ever "fair", IMO. The question is “does having sex enter you into a contract to take care of any possible children that result from it”?

I would say yes.
Thing is, if you have unprotected sex resulting in a pregnancy, you don't get a "do over." There is no reset button. If a woman gets pregnant due to the aformentioned unprotected sex, she and the "baby daddy" have a moral obligation to see that the child is brought into the world; then and only then should the decision to keep the child or put him/her up for adoption be made.
This may sound "Pro Life" or bleeding heart, but "unwanted children" did not ask to be.

Let's pose THIS question. Would any of you say, "Oops, "we're" pregnant; I'll just get an abortion." "I don't want this baby." (?)

Ok.... no one else see this?

When a guy walks away, the baby is still alive.
When the woman doesn't want the child, it dies before it's even born.

Now I'm not pro or anti here, just pointing out this little fact.... Two very different concepts.

Sure. Do it before it becomes a sentient baby. Easy peasy. :yay:

That turns into the argument about 'when does life really begin?' Doesn't it?
If while in the embryonic phase, it is donated, it may not be an issue; but once it is a fetus, the moral argument of abortion becomes the issue.

A woman and a man who doesn't want the child, it is called a bastard or orphan and stuck into a very broken system dependent on public finding until age 18.

This argument doesn’t fly with me anymore. That body inside the woman is NOT HER BODY, it’s another human being. And there is another choice another than using a condom and crossing fingers in hopes things go right. There is this thing we have in a ‘civilized society’ called responsibility and facing the consequences of your actions. If you can’t face the consequences – IF YOU REFUSE TO FACE THE CONSEQUENCES – ABSTAIN!

Now you don’t know me so I’ll educate you on my position on this… In the extreme cases of rape and the life of the mother I have less of a problem with abortion. It MUST be an option. But these are so few and extreme that the vast majority of abortions are performed for birth control reason; because the man and the woman acted irresponsibly. It was more important to have that moment of pleasure, be damned the consequences. And guess who suffers… the most innocent VICTIM in the whole mess… the one that can’t speak for itself… the one that abortion advocates just prefer to avoid the truth and call that thing in that womb just a lump or mass of tissue – a fetus.

Let me as you… Do you consider, at the time of conception, that fetus to be a life?

Nope. No argument at all. I am clear when life begins.

So which do you think is sentient? An embryo or a fetus not carried to term?

From dictionary.com:

Embryo: The young of a viviparous (def: Bringing forth living young rather than eggs, as most mammals and some reptiles and fishes.) animal, especially of a mammal, in the early stages of development within the womb, in humans up to the end of the second month.

Fetus: The young of an animal in the womb or egg, especially in the later stages of development when the body structures are in the recognizable form of its kind, in humans after the end of the second month of gestation.
