Update- All lanes reopened
Forestville– Maryland State Police remain on the scene of a motor vehicle collision on the inner-loop of I-495 just prior to Exit 11, Maryland Route 4 (Pennsylvania Ave.) involving a passenger car stuck under a tractor trailer. All southbound lanes on the inner-loop of the Capital Beltway were closed temporarily as Prince George’s Fire and EMS HAZMAT units responded to ensure no hazardous materials were leaking before the vehicles were moved off the roadway. Prince George’s County Fire and EMS and Maryland State Highway assisted with the closure and scene cleanup.
All lanes have been reopened and no injuries were reported in the collision. Traffic remains heavy in the area and delays should be expected for those traveling through the area.
