“We are close to being able to place felony charges for theft,” Alioto told The Bay Net. “We need to find victims, as we’d like to show the State’s Attorney and Court System the extent of his scheme,” said Alioto.
If you have been a victim of a scam conducted by this man, please contact Lt. Daniel D. Alioto at 301-475-4200 Ext 1918. The police have worked hard to respond to the complaints from residents and now they need your help to make sure he’s charged with everything he’s responsible for.
“Special thanks to the Baynet.com and other media outlets that posted the related information for the public to view. We would also like to thank the citizens that have already contacted us,” stated St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office in their press release.

I called Lt. Alioto. Good conversation. I think the con man may be going away. Maybe JPC, Sr. has some advise for him.

You mean like, "if you are going to spray paint the court house, pick a light color, and preferably a water soluable paint...it's easier to wash off after you've been caught."

Or "Scamming money from others to pay your child support is not as good as simply going to Jail and letting the state "meet the kids needs".

He tried to con me out of some money a few weeks ago at the California post office. He approached me with some story he was broke down and needed some cash for the tow truck to get him back to his truck that had expensive roofing equipment in it. He was afraid someone would steal his equipment before he got it towed. I didn't get scammed because I didn't give him any money but that is definitely the guy.

i had a run in with him last night... i was over by the verizon store in cali off of 4 and I was in my dads truck (was picking up a bed frame) and had left my wallet in my car (which sum had like 50 feet away) and I gave the dude all the change I had in the truck... 25 cents... i would have given him more... I felt bad for him... he gave a good story... he needs to be in sales or something... although last night he was with some other guy, a little younger...

This is just a form a begging that has been going on for years. I really don't know why people are making such a big deal about it. When I was stationed in norfolk, va in the early 90s these poeple were everywhere. You would even run into them at the navy exchange parking lot begging for money cause their car broke down. Its even the same old story.

You can call it a con if you want even though they are really just beggers. But anyone who gives money to a random stranger with the belief that they will actually get it back, might want to avoid the larger cities of the world.
