(WESTMINSTER, MD) – Maryland State Police are identifying the trooper who was stabbed before fatally wounding the armed suspect Monday in Carroll County.
The trooper is identified as Trooper First Class Tyler Michael. He is a six-year veteran of the Maryland State Police, assigned to road patrol duties at the Westminster Barrack. TFC Michael remains on administrative leave, which is procedure, as he recovers from his injury.
The investigation is continuing.
