Because they contain UPS drivers who ring doorbells? My dog gets all grumbly and goes to peek out the window when he hears the truck pull up.

Very good question. Mine HATES the UPS man, FedEx she is fine with even the post man.

But that UPS man rolls up, all hell breaks loose

I think it has something to do with their engines. My dog goes crazy over the UPS truck, whose driver brings her treats, and ignores the FEDEX guy who doesn't.

Mine goes crazy when one even goes by the house....When he backs in, I let him out and he runs and gets up in the truck with the guy...He likes to go in the back and sniff every package...He barks like hell but he really likes the UPS guy...Sometimes I have trouble getting him out....He doesn't want to get out...

My girls love our UPS man - they try to climb in the truck with him.

My German Shepherd just has to hear the truck and she goes crazy, even if the truck is driving passed the house. Must be the type of engine in the UPS truck? I can pretty much tell what type of jet is landing at Andrews just from it's sound, 22yrs AF aircraft mech will do that to ya.

I agree with this, I think the UPS truck has a turbo engine to help it go with all that weight. If so, it will emit a high pitch whistle that would drive a dog bananas. This is only a theory, no animals were harmed in this test.
