Don't get gas from there any time soon! Apparently there were several vehicles towed from the gas pumps today! From what I understand there is water in the tanks....

P.S. Sorry I didn't post this sooner...but this is the first chance I've had since I heard about it.

oh man I filled up there this afternoon. They had signs on all the pumps that no medium grade or premium available. I wonder if those grades of gas were the ones that were affected. I hope it was not regular!

:duh: The ppl got gas from there and then weren't able to start the car. If it was just one person I'd say it's a mechanical problem but 3-4 cars in the same day :nono:

Since my super duper new convertible is in the shop, due to the fact that my trunk won't close,(suddenly, it's "misaligned - thank God for warranties) I won't be getting gas there any time soon. God, I hope this isn't a clue on this car. And those of you who told me not to buy it can not chime in. TYVM Oh, and it's been a not so great week for having the top down anyway.

Oh great I just filled up with the low octane this afternoon and saw the sign on the pumps also. Hopefully I can start my car in morning. If water can get into their gas holding tanks, wouldn't that mean that the tank integrity has been compromised and is leaking also. I don't know that's why I am asking.

The caps may not have been tightened correctly after the tanks were filled last.

Doesn't jive. Ask WW. 1st water has to settle to the bottom of the tank then it has to go through the entire gas line to the carb or injectors. Even if you filled the tank with pure water, you could drive until the fuel in the line was used up.

True or not, I'll avoid it. Not just that one but the others too. Better safe than sorry!

I know that at one point, Hewitts had water in their tanks (back when it was Hewitt's). They drained my friend's tank and made her sit and wait and didn't offer even a free tank of gas. And that, my friend, is why I will never, ever vote for Mike Hewitt. She spent the better part of a Saturday a.m. there.

If they pumped a high percentage of water into their tank, as soon as the ignition key is turned, the fuel is continually circulated to the engine and back. This is even before the engine starts so that water can get to the injectors quite fast. If those cars didn't make it out of the station, Wawa was pumping a lot of water.
