Who was the guy in Goodfellas who bought his wife a mink coat after the heist, so Jimmy had to kill him?

So how does this happen? Isn't anyone anywhere noticing spikes in the system? Doesn't a gargantuan increase in a certain thing raise a flag. This is the true mission of Doge, IMO. All of these fraud cases cause spikes of some kind. "Hey Bob? Did someone dump half a states disabled vets on this Air Force Base? The durable medical goods demand shot through the roof."

Nah, I suspect it was just surpluses of stuff he found weren't getting used and liquidated them. I wish I could say stuff like that is harder to do now, but most of the government still isn't interested in doing its job.

From the article.
