Barge on the beach

I decided to drive on down to Sandbridge...about 30 minutes south of Va. Beach...
Someone should have been selling tickets! So many people out there...

Some shots of the barge and the people and the 3 tugs that were supposed to be used to move it.

The police were in place and the road beyond the condos blocked..but I managed to get one shot from the road by cutting down the marsh on over the dunes....

This is one huge barge!!!!!

Oh, Pool boy....our pool needs cleaning!!!!!

it is quite a site to walk around the corner of this condo building to see this:

THE BARGE:

This gives you an idea of how close it is to the condos!

The rust colored marks on the bow are from the swinging of the huge chains that were once connected to a tug.....Opps.....

This is from the road...looks like a normal boat going up a canal somewhere in the world.....

These tugs were here to try and move it from the beach when the tide came in...not to sure about that info...

Nice pic's The oil barge that I'am on right now was anchored just off Newport News Shipyard the whole time.We had winds up to 80 mph at times. The good thing we had a load on or we would have been beat to death out there.
