From a practical and realistic standpoint, Trump's pronouncements are irrelevant as it relates to COVID.
His taped comments to Woodward show how much he has lied to the American public. His refusal to take the advice of the scientists has lead to the unnecessary deaths of tens of thousands of Americans. He has now gone so far down the anti-science rabbit hole that the scientists on the task force he created aren't even allowed on stage any longer. It is just Trump and his re-election show.
He still claims masks are ineffective. He still pushes ineffective treatments as cures. He still refuses to abide by the basic recommendations of the medical community and packs his cult into indoor rallies (what better way to get these people sick so they will die...after all he is now removed from the crowd so he doesn't have to shake their disgusting hands.)
