ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan today announced that the State of Maryland has achieved its goal of vaccinating 70% of adults by Memorial Day:

“This is a big deal. President Biden set a goal of getting 70% of adults in the country vaccinated by the Fourth of July. Here in Maryland, we said we wanted to get 70% of adults vaccinated by Memorial Day, and that’s exactly what we have done. It was an ambitious goal, but once again, our healthcare heroes have risen to the occasion, as have the millions of Marylanders stepping up to get the vaccine.

“Our health and economic recovery continues to outpace the nation. Of course, our work is not yet done, and with a summer of mobile clinics ahead, we will continue to do all we can to make sure no arm is left behind. If you still need to get vaccinated, we encourage you to visit any of our thousands of distribution points across the state.”
