Already figured out shrimp/scallop fettucine alfredo/salad/garlic bread/wine for dinner but I really need something for dessert that's a lot lighter than what I had in mind. I know a little of how Italians dine and I'm thinking along the lines of something w/fresh fruit that is NOT zabaglione. I swear I couldn't do a custard and have it turn out right if the barefoot contessa herself was standing over me with a meat cleaver ready to split my skull in half.
Looking for something fresh, fruity, and boozy that doesn't involve whipping eggs with sugar over boiling water. Jello really should make instant zabaglione that you just add alcohol to.
