True, but then you have to figure out if the craziness part is a cause or an effect of the veganism?

I think it's the first part - crazies are more likely to engage in silly fads and join up with fringe groups in order to feel like they have friends.

Now watch as she sues the state and the prison system to abide by the rules of her chosen lifestyle.. they won't serve food that she demands that meet her requirements.. and some activist Fed Judge will rule in her favor.

They should challenge her to prove anything they feed them comes from anything that was ever alive.

I'm pretty sure the "vegan" part is immaterial. Kids can be fed a vegan diet and be perfectly healthy.
However, proper supplementation IS hugely important. I'm reading, from the result, this woman did not do that for her child.

It has to be a ton of neglect, too. I cannot imagine not being able to see or realize that a person is ill from something like malnutrition LONG before death is imminent. It's not something that happens overnight. She had to be purposefully ignoring it.

Let her mow the grass around the prison yard. Call it her own personal farm. She can eat whatever she mows. Otherwise, it's SPAM sandwiches.

She's almost certainly negligent in other areas as well. Who doesn't notice when their child is literally starving to death?? And what about other relatives? Grandparents? Aunts and uncles? How did nobody notice this??

Here's the dad:

Her husband, Ryan O’Leary, 33, remains in jail while awaiting trial on the same charges.

In early August, additional counts of sexual assault on a victim younger than 12, and lewd and lascivious behavior on a victim younger than 12 were filed against the dad.
