Vehicles with 3 car seats?

FancyBelle

I'm 2 old 2 die young!
I haven't done a lot of research on this subject, but maybe one of you already has and can answer this for me. A friend of mine just had twins and also has a two yr old. I saw her out the other nite and she only had the 2 yr old with her. When I asked where the twins were, she told me that her SUV only had room for two car seats in the back seat. WTH? They have to go car shopping now for a vehicle that will hold 3 car seats. Anybody else run into this problem before? Not having any little ones, I never even thought about it much.

No problem here even if we had 3 little ones, we have a mini-van with 3 rows of seats.

Even though SUVs sit up higher than full-size cars, they aren't really all that much larger inside. Plus, carseats are big and bulky and 3 in a row is hard to fit. I'm sure they realized this prior to the babies being born - I'd have car shopped well before the birth.

I've found you can squeeze 3 carseats in a single benchseat with a large SUV (Ford Expedition) but not a small SUV (Nissan Xterra).

Duel stroller and now showing you can consider three car seats. What kind of plans are you making?! :yikes:

I love my gas guzling Suburban. Three rows of seats and plenty of cargo space left over. The other SUV's with three rows of seats lose alot of rear cargo space. Plenty of room for the strollers!

Umm...Original post for someone looking for a vehicle that can hold three carseats. I would assume that they would be using strollers.
