Verizon scam?

This am, in the junk email folder, a message from an unrecognized source saying my verizon cloud was getting clogged up. Or something.

Then, a text saying my cloud was 80 percent full, and to go to some verizon-ish looking website to purchase more room.

Since I don't even know how to put stuff into a cloud, what means this? If this really is verizon, it could be the final thing to put me over the edge into dropping their sorry, non-performing asses that cost way, way too much money.

seems like a scam. Was the text from a phone number or was it a shortened number? Usually it's very obvious if you're getting stuff from verizon. Also, what is the link? Is it a verizonwireless website or is it something like verlz0nwlr3l3$$.com ?

The warning is a clue its not Verizon, they let you go over on things and then charge you out the ass.

Its not a scam per say, the Verizon cloud is a real thing, and the text you received was probably from Verizon and all, but...

If you never set up a cloud account, its just another way of Verizon trying to get more $ out of you by making it look like its something you already signed up for. I actually got the same exact text from them named "VERIZON CLOUD" but I have never signed up for their cloud service. Verizon Cloud - Verizon Wireless

Just ignore the texts, or try replying STOP to them so you dont receive them any more. The web site in the text I received was vzw.com which is their legit webpage, it can be shortened like that so you dont have to type out verizonwireless.com, alot of web pages can be access this way with abbreviation
