Verizon vs. Comcast?

Does anyone have comcast for their phone service? I have an appointment for them to come out on Saturday for their $19.99 deal where with Verizon I paid about $65.00 a month. Not much of a savings but these days, every little penny counts.

Does anyone else have Comcast phone and what are the pro's and cons?

I wish we would get fios in the area becuas everyone tells me that the tv service is alot better. Frankly, I hate paying so much for all those damn channels that I don't watch. My husband and kids watch them but to be truthful, I don't watch them very much at all and could go right back to basic and be just fine. In these times, that may be what is going to happen!

We have the comcast triple package and love it. We pay 175.00 after taxes and we get all three services plus 2 movie packages. I love the phone service because if you aren't at home but have internet access and need to check your messages you can go to their website and check your messages there.

A lot of people don't like comcast but we have had them for over two years and can't complain. Never really had a problem with them.

We're doing good. M is still in Texas. He enrolled into high school again and is doing quit well. He actually has been making all a's and b's for a change! LOL He's also wrestling and on their varsity team. He is finally very happy and understands now that he has to work extra hard to get what he wants. I think he finally understands that he should of listened to mom and dad. But hey I'm not complaining at least he's trying to get an education!

That's great about your M lol. I'm glad to hear that. he is a nice kid. He is just like the rest of us/them that think they know it all! I know I certainly thought I did!

Yes he is still wrestling, it hasn't started yet and he is playing football. He is doing pretty well in school but him driving now, my car looks like it was used as a bumper car so now he is stuck only driving to and from school and thats only because we are not available sometimes to pick him up from practice. KIDS!

You are right about him thinking he knows it all. I know I certainly did at that age! The poor child is so much like I was at that age! He has to experience everything before he realizes that hey this might not be the right choice. Crazy kids.

Glad to hear your M is doing good! Sorry to hear about your car though! I guess that goes along with them starting out the driving process they have to learn some how even though it puts a dent in your wallet.

We do not have the phone. We do have the internet and cable. Every Friday our internet goes down and won't come back on until either late Sunday night or early Monday. Also our tv cable will constantly blink in and out on the weekends. We always have problems on the weekends. I called Comcast about it and complain and I am told that the internet probably goes down becuase there are so many people using it on the weekends. That is a piss poor excuse. If you pay for a service, you should have it at all times. Good luck with Comcast. We may switch to verizon and get the dsl and dish.

Now in October I received a notice that I owe over $500 for not returning my cable equipment. I would never deal with Comcast again for any reason. They have no idea what they are doing.

Problem is I already have comcast with cable and internet, I'm just switching the phone. The only other option here as we do not have fios yet is a sattellite dish and I am not going there again!

Comcast is evil. And they really do suck. They suck so bad that they even suck when you cancel their service. Go figure. I am just glad that I don't have any of their equipment, since they suck so bad that would certainly complicate things.

BTW, did I mention that they suck?
