It requires an internet connection. Why not just get a cheap wireless router and connect via wifi?

because Verizon doesn't do hone calls over wi-fi. And a lot of people use their cell phone as their primary phone, so why not have the best signal possible.

Hmm true. I never thought about that.
Does anyone really have issues with Verizon reception in SOMD though? I seem to have signal everywhere.
