Has anyone ever received a coupon called VIP amnesty for 500 minutes? I handle the bill for my daddy but he is in NC and I can't see the coupon. We have a slight overage...1283 minutes to be exact...and if it is valid I would like to use it. If you have it got it was it valid?

1) Various states and carriers offer different promotions. Since I don't live in NC, I can't tell you. :shrug: Contact whoever you pay the bill through and ask them, not us.
2) It usually takes about a day for people to respond. Most people are willing to help do some research and fact check, but it's during the day time mostly.

I looked everywhere on-line to see if there was anything listed. I thought that Verizon was Verizon everywhere, I wasn't aware that it was different in different states. I will have to let my daddy know that. Calling VZW and asking them anything is almost impossible, I have been getting the run around with them...that is why I was seeing if anyone else may of had this same situation/coupon.

Sounds like they are giving you a run around cause they don't want to honor it or aren't sure if they can honer it. However, if it's a valid coupon, most coupons have a "code" on it to track the special offer. It may blatently say - mention offer number xyz123 or it may have it located on the coupon in a corner to track it.

Oh and Verizon is Verizon everywhere, AT&T is AT&T everywhere. However, each state has it's own list of regulations. According to that state's regulations, it sets costs, fees, taxes and even promotions that can be offered.

Amnesty for what ?
The coupon said VIP 500 minute amnesty. He sent me the coupon yesterday and I was able to find someone to honor it. You have to go through the marketing dept. before they can credit your account. Saved 125 bucks!
