Verizon Wireless XV6700

You're all F'in Mad...
I've been torn between wanting a Motorola Q and a Blackberry. I just want my schedule and contacts on my phone since I rarely use my Palm anymore.

BG has one, and ditto on all the features.. You do get broadband access (EVDO) which comes in handy when you are in Baltimore or Annapolis and need directions to where you are going.

It also is Bluetooth Capable, and has wireless internet available.

There are a lot of 'hacks' and software upgrades available online.. Like Verizon has it configured you can not receive a phone call when using the wireless, the phone can do it, Verizon has it shut off.. Download a patch, and walla, you can use the wireles and phone at the same time.

BG has had hers for almost 6 months, it's never locked up, or blue screened, and we've never had to reset it.

Do you know where the "hacks and software upgrades" are online? I read quit a few reviews and they mentioned the fixes. They also said the speaker phone feature on the XV6700 isn't that great along with regular sound quality. Is that true? Thanks

The sound takes a little getting used to, but it has a lot to do with being VERY careful where you put the phone up to your ear. If it's not lined up correctly with your ear it degrades a LOT, but it has bluetooth so if you are in your car, a blue tooth headset would be perfect.

A bunch of links to hacks on this forum http://forum.brighthand.com/showthread.php?t=224047
