Veteran's Day Ideas

The kids and I want to do something nice for DH tomorrow as he's a vet. What would you, as a vet, want your spouse/kids to do for you? Or, as a spouse/kid, what have you done for your family for veteran's day?

Why not do something today, since today is Veteran's Day?

How about letting him relax in front of football and/or the race, with no interruptions other than "may I bring you another ______(fill in the blank)." Follow that with a diiner of his favorite meal, then after the kids are in bed a little :gossip:

Not sure about how it is these days as I haven't been in long time. My dad, a Marine, used to take the kids to see the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Sounds like the perfect plan.

That was definitely something I am glad to have experienced. Very sobering.

My dad and I used to talk for a few minutes about things he enjoyed... football, fishing, and sometimes world events....

Daddy was a vet of three wars.... I never called during the Redskins game... either before or after but I didn't call him during the game cause he loved his football....

My dad would have loved the football idea...
