I would try All Kinds Vet- since they treat all types of critters. I know for a fact I've seen a turtle and a snake there! They are in Callaway (301) 994-9919.

Thank you so much for this!
I appreciate it!
I have a daughter who lives next to Fairfax!

You are welcome. I have no faith in the local vets because I have not had any good experiences here. I find it wrong that I am more knowledgeable in my exotics care than the vet I took them too. That coupled with the fact that an Xray was read wrong on my fat cat, which almost cost him his life, seriously turns me off.

My fat cat is a special kind of special, short bus special…he ate an ear plug, it was lodged in his duodenum, and the x-ray showed it. Within 24 hours he went from bad to worse and I was told he needed to “pass the ear plug.” I removed him ASAP, against their wishes, went to an animal hospital and they sent me to specialists in Waldorf. The young intern, whom I will ALL WAYS keep loving thoughts of in my heart, saw exactly what was wrong by looking at the x-ray and then followed up with an MRI or sonogram..not sure which. They hydrated him for 24 hrs and then performed surgery. Total costs to save my dumbass cat’s life: $5281.69

The heart breaking part in all this is that he was so traumatized that he is no longer the fun loving cat he use to be. Strangers terrify him to the point that he will attack ANY ONE that comes near him, including us if people are at our house. We have to lock him in our bedroom because of it. But he is 100% the overly-affectionate cat when it is just us.

I miss my old country vet in Texas. They only charged you for services rendered. They never charged for walking in the door and they were damn good.

You spent $5,281.69 to save a cat's life? I'd say that the cat isn't the one that's a dumbass.
