Anyone know where I can rent one of these?
I'd like to convert my VHS collection to DVD, and since I only want to do this once, I don't really see the point in buying one.

Buy it, then you can rent VHS's and record them to DVD. A bit cheaper than buying the DVD, but you don't get all the neat DVD only addins and behind the scene crap I never watch.
