...it only caused a monetary ripple in our sheeple public mindset. In this day and age with a terrorist or violent illegal behind ever lamp post and endless conversations of 'are we ready for this or that attack', not one major political leader is calling for more Americans to keep and bear weapons. No one is saying 'I Want YOU to help fight terror and crime, carry a gun.'
No one is discussing the obvious benefits of more weapons in the hands of good citizens. Instead we have the official police line as "Don't fight back. It'll only make it worse for you."
That should be some politicians campaign slogan.
Larry I agree with some parts of your post and disagree with others. We have all read of flights where nuts have been taken down by passengers since 911 , so its happening. We have tread of shopkeepers who have shot burglars and now this story of people fighting back. Things have changed,but the liberal gun haters are still a stumbling block to that change. Even as we speak there is a gun bill which will make it impossible to buy ammunition in Maryland. Thanks to several politicians who dont know chit about guns or ammunition ,but want to cater to the cowardly liberals that elected them.
The change that hasnt happened is as you say. Our politicians and police still dont recognise that by the time they arrive the rape has happened, the person is dead, or the store has been robbed. The truth is they want to be the only ones armed. How many police officers do you know who are gun nuts. Most that I know are, but they want to be the only ones allowed guns.They feel their badge is their license and evidently they like that feeling of superiority over us poor innocent unarmed slobs.
I guess the cop believes it is better to get raped and killed.
