Does anyone have any suggestions for video editing software. I am a complete newbie when it comes to video and would like to be able to resize and split videos into multiple videos to be able to upload.

Have you tried Windows Media Maker? comes on XP and i would imagine Vista as well. It's very basic, easy to use and best of all Free.

I have never used any of them so just wondered if anyone had any advice.

I put these two video's together using Sony Vegas. VERY simple to do, my son of 14 picked it up very quickly and has been using it to put together neat stuff.

Broken Part II on Vimeo

In the second one, take note to the transitions from video to using still pictures.

My version of Windows Media Maker doesn't support .mov files....

To all, as I said I know nothing about video files. I upgraded my Canon DSLR body and it takes HD video as well. I went to Best Buy, Staples, and other non-worthy electronic stores and they didn't have the Sony Vegas app, so I ended up with the Adobe Premiere Elements 7. I guess I'll see how it works, I'm installing it now. :howdy:

Thanks for the advice though, even if I couldn't use it!
