After a skydiver suffered a seizure and lost consciousness during a death-defying leap, heart-stopping video captured the moment his instructor swooped in and rescued him.

Christopher Jones, who has epilepsy, jumped from a plane at 12,000 feet over Western Australia and began convulsing at about 9,000 feet while trying a left-hand turn during his accelerated free fall training.

If you have epilepsy and sky dive, you are an idiot!

That, and a strong heart. That looks like the Accelerated Freefall program I went through in the 80's. Probably dude's third or fourth jump (just one instructor, and he was doing practice rolls before he lost it). Trainee should have had an automatic activation device set to blow the chute out at no less than 2,000 feet specifically for situations like that. My chutes had it, and all my instructors chutes, even with thousands of jumps, were equipped as well in case of mid-air collisions.

Great save, instructor!
