St. Mary's Co. Volunteers Sought for Boards, Commissions and Committees

The Commissioners of St. Mary’s County invites citizens interested in volunteering to apply to serve on various Boards, Committees and Commissions. Detailed descriptions of the multiple boards and membership applications are available online at https://www.stmarysmd.com/boards/. All applications must include a resume and be submitted no later than May 13, 2022.

Vacancies:

1. Adult Public Guardianship Review Board
2. Agriculture, Seafood & Forestry Commission
3. Airport Advisory Board
4. Commission for Women
5. Commission on Aging
6. Commission on the Environment
7. Commission on People with Disabilities
8. Economic Development Commission
9. Ethics Commission
10. Human Relations Commission
11. Local Management Board
12. Recreation & Parks Board
13. Social Service Board
14. Transportation Advisory Committee
15. Wicomico Shores Golf Course Advisory Board

The following vacancies have special requirements:

1. Building Code Board of Appeals – Must have a background in the building or trade industry
2. Electrical Examiners Board – Must be a licensed electrician
3. Historic Preservation Commission – Discipline of architecture, architectural history, history or archaeology.
4. Metropolitan Commission (2 vacancies) – Applicants must live in the 2nd & 9th or in the 7th District
5. Sheriff’s Office Retirement Plan Board – Must have a financial background
